Ah I see...I thought they thought it wasn't "respectable", but I didn't think it was quite *that* bad, if they were just doing it in their own homes. Although they did seem to get really into it - getting a set builder and everything! Yeah I noticed they did a lot of singing around the piano, hehe. I don't know a lot about that period, so maybe I'll find a non-fiction book about it to give some background for when I read more Jane Austen books :)
