Due to some vodka related fun on Saturday night, I didn't get on the internet yesterday...so heres another two days! :)
day 04 → your favourite book
Ooh I can't choose just one...but I will start with 1984 by George Orwell. I love books like this as it shows a society which is almost like our own, but not quite. I think it shows how our society could become...and unfortunately it is going that way, in some aspects. I really hate how concepts such as "Big Brother" have been hijacked to form an "entertainment" programme - I wish everyone who watched Big Brother would read 1984 so they knew what it was really about!!
Behind the Scenes at the Museum by Kate Atkinson is another favourite of mine. It tells the story of Ruby, in a fairly straightforward way, alternated with stories of her family history, and how they came to have certain things in their house. All the way through you can tell that there is something which is a bit off about Ruby's retelling of her life - why are there 48 baby pictures of her when there is only 24 each for the rest of her siblings, for example. I love books like this, which have some kind of secret which you only find out at the end. So good! :)
I have many many other favourite books, but I'll leave it at that for now :)
day 05 → your favourite quote
