I was planning on doing more of the challenge days today, but I don't feel creative enough to do it...it just says "a fictional book" for the next one to do, and I can't think of a good enough one to talk about - I've already said about my favourites, what more do they want? haha. I'm also going away this weekend so won't do any then, but I'll come back after and do more. Its quite good really, as I used to not write in here much at all, but I now feel bad if I don't! I think its the combination of liking talking about things I'm interested in, and, strangely, the fact that I don't know many of the people in my friends list in real life, encourages me to write! Its much better than facebook as I know (well, hope!) the people who have added me on here are interested in some of the things I'm interested in, like book reviews etc, rather than facebook where some of the people it seems like they've never read a book in their lives! But they are my friends and aquaintances (hmm that looks like its spelt wrong?) so thats why they're there and I won't be too mean about them. But its nice to have people reading this who are interested!

I'm going to Whitby tomorrow for the goth weekend, with Katie. I know I will enjoy it once I'm there, but before all of these kind of things (Whitby, Infest, Bloodstock) I always get incredibly nervous for some reason - I worry I've forgotten to bring the right type of clothes and things that I need, worry that we'll get lost on the way, not have a fun time, etc etc. Gah and even as I'm writing this I'm thinking of things which I need which I haven't packed (and as I'm going to Katie's tonight I won't have a chance to pack now!). But I think its a bit cold for my goth shirt, and I have my stripy coat so don't *really* need my german army coat as well....I hope anyway! I can't remember what I mainly wore last October either! I know it was really windy and rainy though. One slight problem this year is that the hotel we're staying in is "dog friendly", and I am most definately *not* dog friendly, so I'm really worried there will be dogs running around all over the place :( :( And before you say why did you book it then, it was the only place I could find! I don't know where these people who say they manage to get hotels a week before go, I looked at about 20 hotels in about March and this was the only one which had space. But I am reassured slighty that on the hotel website it only says two of the rooms can have dogs in them, and we're in one of them, so hopefully there will only be a maximum of one dog there...unfortunately the other room is next door!! So I hope its not too loud :( But oh well....I'll just have to see what its like once I get there, I hope all my fears are unfounded!

There seem to be some really good gig tickets going on sale recently - however the gigs aren't for ages, which is a bit annoying, I haven't been to many gigs this year at all really. I'm thinking of going to see Marc Almond and Laibach in December (not together - although that'd be an amazing gig, hehe!), and then theres Rob Zombie and Murderdolls in February (although I don't have tickets for Murderdolls yet). Plus another band / group which I imagine most people wouldn't think I'd want to see :D ...but their tickets will probably sell out in about 10 minutes so not sure if we'll be able to get them! The next gig I'm going to is the March Violets, on 13th November - I really can't wait to see them! I can't believe that at one point they were one of the bands I thought I'd never ever see, and now this is the second time! Plus I have the members of the band as my "friends" on facebook, which is cool :D

anyway I better stop now as my manager has come back from lunch...better get on with some work!! :)
