Yeah I like books with story too but if I'm in a particular mood I can read the beat stuff. I get the comparison between the two (I'm sure there's complicated history behind how the beats & gonzo fit together) but they really aren't that similar... there's so much more plot in Fear and Loathing! So I can understand why you'd like it and not On the Road.

Meanwhile they made Naked Lunch into a movie lol. It was so insane. They're also making On the Road into a movie now. I don't really get how they could make it into a movie and that Twilight chick is in it so I'm trying to ignore the fact it exists. ;)
