I enjoyed Dr Who too. I have to say I am really enjoying Matt Smith's doctor. He's just so bizarre! It's taken me longer to warm up to Amy but the past couple episodes I've been liking her.
I'm sorry you're not enjoying on the road. I have to say Keraouc is one of my favourite authors. I loved on the road. I love the way he writes. The prose is just so beautiful to me. I love the honesty in what he writes. I had always pictured 1950s America to be so dull and full of housewives and very suburban. But reading on the road opened my eyes and reaffirmed the fact that people are people whatever age. And they were there having the same parties we do now, hanging out drinking, doing drugs, having crazy adventures, being poor, falling in love, they just listened to jazz instead of goth. I was fascinated by the women in the book, Luanne and Carolyn (Crap their fake names in otr have gone), how they'd leave their homes and security to go and live in such wild and different ways. I just found it such a vivid portrayal of life.
